Instructions
Preparation
Preheat your oven to 250°C / 480°F (230°C fan) and place the shelf in the top quarter of the oven.
Lightly spray a pizza pan or baking tray with oil to prevent sticking.
Prepare your pizza sauce and toppings beforehand.
Making the Dough
To make the dough using a food processor: Combine the flour, baking powder, salt, and sugar in the processor. With the motor running, add the olive oil and water, mixing until the dough forms a ball (approximately 40 seconds).
If you prefer hand kneading: In a bowl, mix the flour, baking powder, salt, and sugar. Gradually add the olive oil and water, stirring until the dough comes together. Knead for about 3 minutes on a floured surface until smooth.
Roll out the dough to your desired thickness, usually around 1/4 inch for a thinner crust.
Baking
Once rolled out, place the dough onto your prepared pizza pan. Add your sauce, cheese, and toppings.
Bake in the oven until the crust is golden and delicious, typically about 10-15 minutes.
Notes
For a crispier crust, pre-bake the rolled-out dough for a few minutes before adding toppings. You may also add herbs or garlic powder to the dry ingredients for extra flavor.
