Preparation
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and prepare a muffin tin by greasing it or lining it with muffin liners.
In a large mixing bowl, mash the ripe bananas until smooth.
Add eggs and honey (or maple syrup) to the mashed bananas and mix thoroughly.
In a separate bowl, blend the whole wheat flour, protein powder, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
Gradually combine the dry ingredients into the wet mixture until just combined.
Gently fold in the chopped walnuts to the batter.
Pour the batter into the prepared muffin tin, filling each cup about 2/3 full.
