One-Pot Creamy Cajun Meatball Pasta

Ingredients

Meatball Ingredients

  • 1 lb meatballs (store-bought or homemade) You can use homemade meatballs for a flavor boost.

Pasta Ingredients

  • 8 oz pasta (penne or rotini) Penne or rotini work best but you can substitute with any pasta.

Cooking Ingredients

  • 1 tbsp olive oil For cooking the meatballs.
  • 1 small onion (chopped) Adds flavor to the dish.
  • 2 cloves garlic (minced) Fresh garlic is recommended.
  • 1 cup heavy cream To create the creamy sauce.
  • 1.5 cups chicken broth Use low-sodium chicken broth for a healthier option.
  • 2 tbsp Cajun seasoning Adjust based on spice preference.
  • 0.5 cup grated Parmesan cheese For added creaminess and flavor.
  • to taste Salt and pepper To season the dish.

Instructions

Cooking the Meatballs

  • Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
  • Add the meatballs and cook until browned on all sides.
  • Once done, remove them from the skillet and set aside.

Sautéing Onion & Garlic

  • In the same skillet, add the chopped onion and minced garlic.
  • Sauté for about 3 minutes, or until softened and fragrant.

Cooking the Pasta

  • Add the chicken broth to the skillet and bring it to a simmer.
  • Once simmering, add the pasta and cook according to the package instructions, usually 8-10 minutes.

Adding Cream & Seasoning

  • Stir in the heavy cream and Cajun seasoning.
  • Let it simmer for another 2-3 minutes, allowing the sauce to thicken slightly.

Combining Ingredients

  • Return the cooked meatballs to the skillet and mix them in with the pasta.
  • Stir in the grated Parmesan cheese until well combined.
  • Season with salt and pepper to taste.

Serving the Dish

  • Serve the creamy Cajun meatball pasta hot and enjoy the rich, flavorful meal!

Notes

This dish is best enjoyed fresh. You can garnish with extra grated Parmesan or parsley.
