A fun and unique twist on traditional pizza and burgers, combining seasoned ground beef, pizza sauce, and gooey cheese enveloped in a flaky crust.

Ingredients

For the beef mixture

  • 2 cups ground beef
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 cup pizza sauce

For assembling

  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup sliced pepperoni
  • 1 cup refrigerated pizza dough
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil For greasing the pie dish
  • 1 unit egg, beaten For egg wash

Instructions

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 400°F.
  • In a large skillet over medium heat, brown the ground beef until fully cooked, about 5-7 minutes. Drain excess fat.
  • Stir in garlic powder, onion powder, Italian seasoning, salt, and black pepper. Add pizza sauce and mix well. Remove from heat.

Assembling the Pie

  • In a greased pie dish, press half of the pizza dough into the bottom and up the sides.
  • Spoon the beef mixture into the crust, then layer with mozzarella cheese and pepperoni.
  • Roll out the remaining pizza dough and place it over the filling, sealing the edges.
  • Brush the top with beaten egg.

Baking

  • Bake for 25-30 minutes or until the crust is golden brown.
  • Let it cool for 5-10 minutes before slicing.

Notes

For best results, do not overcook the beef and season to taste. Feel free to customize the toppings.
