  • 0.5 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions

Preparation

  • Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9x5 inch loaf pan.
  • In a large bowl, combine the sugar, eggs, and melted butter. Mix well.
  • Stir in the mashed bananas and peanut butter until smooth.
  • In another bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt. Gradually add it to the banana mixture, stirring until just combined.
  • Fold in the chocolate chips.
  • Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan.

Baking

  • Bake for 60-70 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  • Let it cool in the pan for 10 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.

Notes

Serve warm or at room temperature, sliced thick, with a spread of extra peanut butter or a drizzle of chocolate syrup. Store tightly wrapped for up to 3 days or freeze for up to 3 months.
