Cake
3/4cupbutter (softened)
1 1/2cupssugar
1small boxinstant caramel pudding mix
4largeeggs
1 1/4cupswhole milk
1/3cupcanola oil
1/2tsppure vanilla extract
1 3/4cupsall-purpose flour
3tbspcornstarch
4tspbaking powder
1/2tspsea salt
Caramel Sauce
1/2cupbutter
1cuplight brown sugar packed
2/3cupheavy whipping cream
1cuppowdered sugar (sifted)
1/2tspsea salt
Instructions
Prepare the sauce by whisking together butter, sugar, and heavy cream in a pot over medium heat until thick and dark in color.
Let the sauce cool to room temperature and divide it in half. Set one half aside.
Add powdered sugar, salt, and heavy whipping cream to the other half of the sauce to make a thick glaze. Pour over the cake and allow it to set.
Drizzle the reserved half of the sauce over the top of the cake.
Cut into 12 slices and serve.
