Ingredients

Pasta and Meat

  • 1 lb linguine
  • 1 lb ground beef

Sauce

  • 3 tablespoons butter
  • 4 cloves garlic, chopped
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/2 cup grated mozzarella cheese
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • to taste Salt and pepper
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • for garnish Fresh parsley, chopped

Instructions

Cooking the Linguine

  • Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Cook the linguine according to package instructions until al dente. Before draining, reserve about 1/2 cup of the pasta cooking water. Drain and set aside.

Cooking the Beef

  • In a skillet over medium heat, heat the olive oil. Add the ground beef and cook until browned. Season with salt and pepper, then remove from the skillet and set aside.

Preparing the Sauce

  • In the same skillet, melt the butter. Add the chopped garlic and sauté briefly until fragrant.
  • Pour in the heavy cream, stirring to combine. Bring to a gentle simmer, then add the grated Parmesan and mozzarella cheeses, stirring until the sauce is smooth and creamy.

Combining Ingredients

  • Add the cooked linguine and browned beef to the sauce, mixing well to coat everything. If the sauce is too thick, add a bit of the reserved pasta cooking water until you reach your desired consistency.

Final Adjustments and Serving

  • Taste the dish and adjust the seasoning with salt and pepper as needed. Garnish with fresh parsley and enjoy it hot!

Notes

For an extra depth of flavor, sauté some onions along with the garlic. Don't skimp on the cheese; using freshly grated cheese will enhance the creaminess of the sauce. If you want a little heat, add some red pepper flakes to the sauce!
