Ingredients

Meatball Mixture

  • 1 pound ground beef Can substitute with ground turkey or chicken for a lighter option.
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/4 cup chopped green onions Garnish with additional green onions if desired.
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon ginger (grated)

Teriyaki Sauce

  • 1/4 cup teriyaki sauce
  • 1/4 cup pineapple juice Adjust sweetness as per taste.
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon brown sugar Can be adjusted for sweetness.

Instructions

Preparation

  • In a bowl, combine the ground beef, breadcrumbs, chopped green onions, egg, garlic powder, ginger, salt, and pepper. Mix until well combined.
  • Form the mixture into small meatballs.

Sauce Preparation

  • In a separate bowl, mix together the teriyaki sauce, pineapple juice, soy sauce, and brown sugar.

Cooking

  • Place the meatballs in the slow cooker and pour the sauce over them.
  • Cover and cook on low for 4-6 hours or until meatballs are cooked through.

Notes

Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3-4 days or freeze for up to 3 months. To reheat, use the microwave or stovetop.
