100mllukewarm milkEnsure it's lukewarm to activate yeast.
4tablespoonsmelted butter
1packetactive dry yeastTo be mixed with warm water first.

Instructions
Preparation
Sift the flour into a large bowl.
In a separate bowl, mix the yeast with a little lukewarm water and let it sit for a few minutes.
Add the brown sugar, nutmeg, baking soda, salt, melted butter, turmeric, and milk to the yeast mixture.
Kneading and Resting
Gradually incorporate the flour while mixing.
Knead vigorously for about 15 minutes until you have a smooth and elastic dough.
Cover and let it rise in a warm place for 40 minutes to 1 hour.
Shaping and Frying
Once the dough has risen nicely, form it into small balls.
Heat oil in a frying pan and fry the donuts over medium heat until they become golden brown.
