A classic French dish, this spinach quiche combines fresh spinach with a rich filling, making it a perfect choice for breakfast, brunch, or a light dinner.

Ingredients

Main Ingredients

  • 200 g fresh spinach (or thawed frozen spinach, drained) Use fresh spinach or well-drained frozen spinach.
  • 1 small onion, finely chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, chopped
  • 4 large eggs
  • 240 ml heavy cream
  • 120 ml milk
  • 100 g grated cheese (Gruyère, Cheddar, or Mozzarella) Choose your preferred cheese.

Instructions

Preparation

  • Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F).
  • In a pan, sauté the onion and garlic until soft.
  • Add the spinach and cook until wilted if using fresh.
  • In a bowl, beat the eggs, then add the cream, milk, and cheese.
  • Stir in the spinach mixture.
  • Pour the mixture into a quiche crust (pre-made or homemade).

Baking

  • Bake for 35-40 minutes until set and golden.
  • Let it cool for a few minutes before serving.

Notes

For added flavor, serve warm with a side of fresh green salad or roasted vegetables. Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to three days.
