  • 4 large eggs Room temperature eggs for better mixing.
  • 1 cup buttermilk
  • 0.5 cup strawberry puree You can use fresh or frozen strawberries.
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour two 9-inch round cake pans.
  • In a large bowl, cream together the softened butter and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.
  • Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
  • Stir in the buttermilk, strawberry puree, and vanilla extract until well combined.
  • Gradually add the flour, mixing until just incorporated.
  • Divide the batter evenly between the prepared cake pans.

Baking

  • Bake for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  • Allow cakes to cool in the pans for 10 minutes before transferring to wire racks to cool completely.
