A mouth-watering Italian-American rolled dish filled with meats, cheeses, and veggies, all encased in perfectly baked pizza dough.

Ingredients

Dough & Fillings

  • 1 roll Pizza dough
  • 200 grams Italian meats (salami, pepperoni, ham) You can mix and match varieties for different flavors.
  • 200 grams Cheese (mozzarella, provolone) Feel free to experiment with cheese types.
  • 1 cup Vegetables (bell peppers, onions, mushrooms) Chop the veggies finely for even distribution.

For Assembly

  • 2 tablespoons Olive oil Used for brushing the top.
  • 1 tablespoon Italian seasoning Sprinkle to taste.
  • 1 cup Marinara sauce For dipping.

Instructions

Preparation

  • Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
  • Roll out the pizza dough on a floured surface into a rectangle.
  • Layer sliced meats, cheese, and vegetables evenly over the dough.
  • Sprinkle with Italian seasoning.
  • Roll the dough tightly from one edge to the other, pinching the ends to seal.

Baking

  • Place the rolled Stromboli seam-side down on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  • Brush the top with olive oil and make a few slits on top to allow steam to escape.
  • Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes or until golden brown.
  • Let it cool for a few minutes before slicing.
  • Serve with marinara sauce for dipping.

Notes

Stromboli is best served warm; slice it into thick pieces for serving. It can also be customized with different fillings like extra vegetables, chicken, or even ricotta for a vegetarian option.
