Ingredients

For the Marinade

  • 1 lb chicken breast, cubed
  • 1/2 cup teriyaki sauce
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon minced garlic
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon sesame seeds (optional) For garnish
  • Green onions for garnish (optional)
  • Skewers Use wooden or metal skewers

Instructions

Preparation

  • In a bowl, combine teriyaki sauce, honey, olive oil, minced garlic, and black pepper. Mix well until blended smoothly.
  • Add the cubed chicken to the marinade, ensuring each piece is coated well. Let it marinate for at least 30 minutes to absorb the flavors.

Cooking

  • Preheat your grill to medium-high heat.
  • Thread the marinated chicken onto skewers, leaving a little space between each piece for even grilling.
  • Grill the skewers for about 10-15 minutes, turning occasionally, until the chicken is cooked through and has nice grill marks.
  • If using, sprinkle sesame seeds on top and garnish with green onions before serving. Enjoy!

Notes

Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to three days. Reheat in the microwave or on a skillet to enjoy warm again. For longer storage, freeze the marinated chicken for up to three months before grilling. Soak wooden skewers in water for at least 30 minutes before grilling to prevent burning.
